Who We Are

We’re dedicated to inviting girls and women to the world of technology through helpful tips, resources and workshop classes. As female coders ourselves, we aim to help other aspiring female coders & entrepreneurs learn digital software and website-building through casual, friendly and intimate workshops.

“Seeing my students, who were once intimidated and nervous about coding and software, now start creating things so confidently gives me so much joy and makes everything really fulfilling. I want to welcome ladies of all ages into the wonderful world of technology that I'm currently in, because I think it's one of the most empowering skills someone can possess in this day and age!”

“Coding for Her has been a stepping stone for me to share more about my knowledge and to warmly welcome anyone who wants to take their first step into the world of coding or web design. It has been such a fulfilling journey to see how my students learn and explore and it brings me so much joy to see them grow their own personal project or business!”

Hello! We have been in the design and web industry for over 10 years. We first met in Temasek Polytechnic, pursuing a diploma in IT. After graduating, we decided to take our artistic education further and graduated NTU with a Bachelor in Fine Arts (Honours). Trained in both IT and design was extremely helpful with equipping us with an edge when we established our agency, Hello Pomelo Creatives.

Our unique designs and work ethics throughout the years has brought us to working with large clients such as NUS, SUTD, Esplanade and CNN. As an agency, we have helped small businesses as well as large organisations build their branding and online presence.

We realized that there were many women who were very interested in getting into the emerging tech field, but were too intimidated or lacked the confidence. As a pair of women in technology, we believe there is absolutely nothing to fear. This is why we decided to start Coding For Her. We wanted to dispel the preconceived notion that coding workshops are techy, impersonal, male-dominated and intimidating. We wanted to give women of all ages a safe space to ask questions and to learn without judgment.

To date, we have helped and equipped over 100 women with practical skills in graphic design and programming, allowing them to bring these skills to the workplace or even start their own businesses!
